A young man died after being electrocuted in Bogura’s Shajahanpur upazila. The deceased, Sakibul Hasan (24), was an electrician with Tamim Group Company. He is the son of Manju Mia of Sujabad Dahapara village.
He died on the way to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital on Sunday afternoon. Earlier, an electrocution incident occurred in the Sujabad Dahapara area of the upazila around 11:30 am.
It is learned that electrician Sakibul was working at Tamim Group Company in the morning. He was seriously injured after being electrocuted. The company’s employees rescued him and first took him to Banani General Hospital. When his condition deteriorated, he was taken to Bogura for better treatment. The doctor on duty at the hospital declared him dead.
Shajahanpur Police Station OC Ashiq Iqbal said, “I have heard that a young man died due to electrocution. The body has been kept at the Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue. It will be handed over to the family after the legal process is completed.”
