Jerseys have been distributed to players by the Sultan Master Trust Foundation in Kotalipara, Gopalganj. The distribution took place on Saturday afternoon (September 12) at the grounds of Ghugrahati Haji Tasir Uddin Darul Arqam Ibtedayi Madrasa in Kandi Union. Firoz Sheikh, Senior Vice-President of Kandi Union BNP, attended as the chief guest and distributed the jerseys to the players of the Ghugrahati XI team.
Also present at the event were Oliullah, an assistant teacher at No. 86 Tarail Government Primary School; former police sergeant Iskandar Sheikh; and various local dignitaries, players, and sports enthusiasts. Notably, the opening match of the 11-team Koykha Night Football Tournament was held at the Kazi Montu Filling Station ground in Kotalipara Upazila. During the jersey distribution, the guests remarked that sports play a vital role in keeping the younger generation physically and mentally healthy, while also steering them away from drugs and various social crimes. Such initiatives need to be continued to foster a sporting environment at the local level and to encourage the players.
