Senxin BD Co. Ltd., a Chinese company, is set to invest US$ 10.81 million to establish a different kind

of LED bulb and packing materials manufacturing industry in Mongla Export Processing Zone (Mongla

EPZ). The new venture will diversify the product base of the zone and enhance its competitiveness in

The global market.

An agreement to this effect was signed today at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka between the

Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Senxin BD Co. Ltd. Mr. Md. Ashraful

Kabir, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA, and Mr. Wu Changqin, Chairman of Senxin BD,

Signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Major General Abul Kalam

Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, BSP, ndc, psc, Executive Chairman of BEPZA, witnessed the signing

Ceremony.

The Chinese company will produce a wide range of LED lighting products including LED bulbs, street

Lights, spot lights, panel lights, big sky three-side LED solar street lights, ABS LED solar street lights,

Explosion-proof LED lamps, flood lights, strip lights, along with packing materials such as cartons and

Poly bags. The company is expected to create 717 employment opportunities for Bangladeshi

Nationals.

Speaking on the occasion, the Executive Chairman of BEPZA welcomed the new investment, saying:

Confidence in our EPZs, and we will extend all necessary support for their successful operations.”

The signing ceremony was attended by senior BEPZA officials, including Member (Finance) A N M

Foyzul Haque, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md. Tanvir Hossain, and Executive Director

(Enterprise Services) Md. Khorshid Alam.
