BMU’s 121st important meeting of Finance Committee held

The 121st important meeting of the University Finance Committee was held at the office of the Treasurer of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) yesterday, Sunday, August 23, 2026, with 22 agendas. The meeting was presided over by the Treasurer of BMU, Professor Dr. Nahrin Akhtar. In that important meeting, Honorable Member of Parliament and honorable Member of BMU Finance Committee Dr. Md. Mahabubur Rahman, MP, Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Medical University Professor Dr. F. M. Siddiqui, Honorable Joint Secretary (Budget) of Health Education and Family Welfare Department and Honorable Member of BMU Finance Committee Mr. Md. Abdullah Harun, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of BMU Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Development) Professor Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman Howlader, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Professor Dr. Shamim Ahmed, Registrar Professor Dr. Md. Mostafa Kamal, Professor of Neurosurgery Department Dr. Md. Moududul Haque, Director (Finance and Accounts) Mr. Khandaker Shafiqul Hasan Ratan, UGC Director (Finance and Accounts Division) Mr. Md. Rezaul Karim Howlader, among others, participated. In that important meeting, various relevant issues including the purchase of essential equipment including equipment for various departments for the benefit of patients’ medical services, the launch of PICU for children, the purchase of some state-of-the-art equipment for patients’ needs, as well as development activities and budget allocation, were discussed.
