A young man named Al-Amin (28) alias Perek Alamin was stabbed to death by miscreants in Jessore in broad daylight. The incident took place in the Segunbagan area of Lichutola Babu in Barandi Para of the city around 4 pm on Thursday.
The deceased, Al-Amin, was the son of the late Akkas Ali of Barandipara Boubazar area of Jessore town.
According to police and local sources, unknown assailants stabbed Al-Amin in the Segunbagan area of Lichutala Babu around 4 pm and left him there. Later, locals found him lying there and informed the police.
Upon receiving the information, the police went to the spot, recovered the body and started a preliminary investigation. The deceased’s cousin Hasan identified the body as Al-Amin.
In this regard, Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Masum Khan said that several police teams, including members of the Sadar Police Outpost and DB police, are at the scene. It was not immediately known why and who killed Al-Amin. The police have started an investigation to identify and arrest those involved in the incident.
