Isa Ahmed, a talented son of Narsingdi and a talented student of Bangladesh Krira Shiksha Ortega (BKSP), has made Bangladesh proud by winning the gold medal in the 10th South Asian Karate Championship. This achievement is not just a gold medal; it is a glorious history of long-term hard work, sacrifice, discipline, perseverance and fulfilling an indomitable dream.
The most emotional and proud thing about this championship was that both father and son represented Bangladesh in the same international event. On the one hand, son Isa Ahmed fought for the country as a player, while on the other hand, father Rupu Ahmed, as an Asian Karate Federation (AKF) licensed coach, served as the coach of the Bangladesh national team. On the same stage, one was on the competition mat, and the other was in the coach’s box—both had the same goal, to take the red-green flag of Bangladesh to the peak of victory. Such a scene is truly rare and proud.
Youth and Sports Advisor Mr. Aminul Islam, who is a former national footballer of Bangladesh, was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony.
Rupu Ahmed said, “Today is one of the happiest and most emotional days of my life. As a national team coach, I have the privilege of serving my country, and as a father, I have been able to see the gold medal of Bangladesh on my child’s neck. This feeling cannot be expressed in words. I am eternally grateful to Allah Almighty.
I express my sincere gratitude to all the coaches, teachers and officials of Bangladesh Krira Shiksha Ortega (BKSP). I also express my sincere gratitude to the President, General Secretary, all the coaches, judges, referees, officials and employees of Bangladesh Karate Federation. This achievement would not have been possible without their guidance, sincerity, relentless hard work and cooperation.”
Rupu Ahmed and O said, “My humble request to the countrymen is that you pray for Isa, so that he can fly the red-green flag of Bangladesh in the international arena many more times in the future and win more gold medals for the country, InshaAllah.”
