Principal Md. Shamim’s name has been announced as the nominated mayoral candidate of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in the upcoming Muktagachha Municipality election. The matter has created new enthusiasm among local leaders and activists. According to party sources, in light of the central decision, Principal Md. Shamim has been nominated as the party candidate in the Muktagachha Municipality election. He has been involved in education, social and organizational activities for a long time. In response to receiving the nomination, Principal Md. Shamim said, “With trust in Allah and with the prayers and support of the people of Muktagachha, I want to work towards the formation of a modern, clean and people-friendly municipality. If elected, priority will be given to improving the quality of citizen services, establishing good governance and developmental activities.” Meanwhile, party leaders and activists said that the election campaign will be officially started very soon and public relations and opinion exchange meetings will be held in various wards of the municipality.
