Patnitala Battalion (14 BGB) recovered 75 bottles of Indian narcotic Iskaf syrup during a raid in the Dhamirhat border area of Naogaon.
On Monday (July 13) at 12:20 am, a special patrol team of the BGB led by Agradvigun BOP Patrol Commander Naib Subedar Md. Shoyeb Ali Munshi conducted an operation in the Maheshpur field area, about 300 yards inside Bangladesh from border pillar 256/6-S.
Sensing the presence of the BGB during the operation, the smugglers abandoned the drugs at the scene and fled. Later, a search was conducted and 75 bottles of Indian intoxicant Eskaf syrup were recovered without an owner.
The BGB said that the process of handing over the recovered narcotics to Dhamirhat Police Station is underway.
The commander of Patnitala Battalion (14 BGB) said that the BGB’s operations to prevent illegal border crossings, maintain law and order, and suppress all types of cross-border crimes in the Naogaon and Joypurhat border areas will continue in the future.
