Khulna District Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Mahfuza Khatun inspected the overall medical activities and cleanliness of Paikgachha Upazila Health Complex.
When he arrived at the hospital on Saturday morning, Paikgachha Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ahsanara Binte Ahmed welcomed the Civil Surgeon with flowers. During the inspection, the Civil Surgeon visited various sections of the hospital including the Emergency Department, Diet Room, Operation Theatre (OT), Pathology Department, Via (VIA) Room and Outdoor Department. He closely supervised the overall cleanliness activities of the hospital and gave necessary directions to further improve the quality of services. After visiting the hospital, Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Mahfuza Khatun held an emergency meeting with the owners of all private clinics and diagnostic centers in Paikgachha Upazila. In the meeting, she gave various directives for the implementation of the government’s health policy. In particular, she gave urgent instructions to prepare ‘normal delivery rooms’ mandatorily in all private clinics as per the government’s instructions.
Dr. Mosha Mahfuza Khatun, (Civil Surgeon, Khulna) said that to deliver quality healthcare to the doorstep of the people, private clinics and diagnostic centers, along with government hospitals, should also provide services within the rules.
During the inspection and meeting, the Civil Surgeon was accompanied by Dr. Himel Ghosh, Medical Officer, Civil Surgeon’s Office, Khulna. Dr. Ahsanara Binte Ahmed, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer. Dr. Abdul Majid, President, Paikgachha-Koira Clinic and Diagnostic Association. Dr. Md. Kausar Ali, General Secretary, Paikgachha-Koira Clinic and Diagnostic Association. Among others, Upazila Health Complex Junior Consultant (Gynaecology) Dr. Sujan Kumar Sarkar, Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Dr. Shakila Afroz, Medical Officer Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mondal, Nursing Supervisor Hamida Khatun and various levels of officers and employees of the hospital were also present.
