A drug addict named Md. Omar Molla (30) has been sentenced to 6 months in prison in the mobile court in Kotalipara, Gopalganj. On Monday (July 6) afternoon, the upazila administration, District Narcotics Control Department and Kotalipara Police Station, in collaboration with locals, conducted a joint operation in the upazila’s Madhya Bandhabari village and arrested him. Later, the mobile court judge and Upazila Executive Officer Sagufta Haque sentenced him to 6 months in prison and fined him 200 taka. District Narcotics Control Officer Khorshed Alam, Kotalipara Police Station SI Subrata Malo and local people were present at the time. The convicted Omar Molla is the son of Firoz Molla of Madhya Bandhabari village. It was informed.
