30,000 Yaba tablets found in secret chamber of private car, 2 arrested

Jessore Narcotics Control Department (NCD) has recovered 30,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from
a secret chamber of a private car in a special operation in Jessore . Two dealers from Benapole have been arrested in this incident. A private car and two mobile phones used to carry Yaba have been seized. The operation was conducted on the Jessore-Narail highway in front of Hamidpur landfill in Jessore Sadar upazila at around 10:15 pm on Saturday (July 4). The two arrested are Bablur Rahman (55), son of the deceased Nausher Ali Morol of Daulatpur village of Benapole Port Police Station, and Nuruzzaman (34), son of Azgar Ali of Bara Anchra village. Narcotics Control Department Sub-Inspector Madan Mohan Saha said that a special team of them took up position in Hamidpur area based on secret information. Later, a suspicious Toyota X Corolla private car was searched. During the search, 30,000 pieces of Yaba were recovered from a secret chamber specially placed on the dashboard and running boards on both sides of the car . Then the driver and another passenger in the car were arrested. At the same time, the private car used for drug transportation and two mobile phones used by them were seized. In this incident, Sub-Inspector Madan Mohan Saha of the Narcotics Control Department has filed a case against the two people detained under the Narcotics Control Act at Jessore Kotwali Model Police Station.
