Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC has started ‘Customer Month’ with the slogan ‘Building a future Bangladesh through welfare-oriented banking’. Acting Managing Director of the bank Md. Altaf Hussain inaugurated the campaign as the chief guest on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Islami Bank Tower. Additional Managing Director Engineer Mohammad Jamal Uddin Majumder spoke as the special guest at the event. Executive Vice President Md. Majnuzzaman also spoke at the event under the chairmanship of Additional Managing Director Dr. M. Kamal Uddin Jasim. The event was attended by Deputy Managing Directors of the bank Md. Mahbub Alam, Mahmudur Rahman, Md. Rafiqul Islam, Muhammad Sayeed Ullah and Md. Maksudur Rahman along with senior executives of the head office. In addition, all the zone heads, branch heads and sub-branch in-charges of the bank were connected to the event on a virtual platform. Md. Altaf Hussain, in his speech as the chief guest, said that currently all branches, sub-branches, agent outlets and digital banking services of Islami Bank are operating normally. Remittance customers are also receiving services without any problems. Most of the customers who had closed their accounts and withdrawn money have already returned with confidence in the bank. This spontaneous return is a clear reflection of their long-standing trust in us. He said that Islami Bank is a strong, stable and solid financial institution. He called on everyone to work tirelessly while maintaining transparency, accountability, good governance and utmost professionalism.
