The Brahmanbaria District Committee of the Journalists Union has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the death of former Brahmanbaria MP Harun Al Rashid.
In a condolence message, the organization’s president Niaz Md. Khan Bitu and general secretary Shihab Uddin Bipu (NTV staff reporter) prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family members.
Present at the event were Vice President of the Journalists Union of Brahmanbaria, Shamsul Arefin, Sarail correspondent of the Daily Amar Desh, Joint General Secretary Sohel Ahad, Brahmanbaria correspondent of the Daily Janabani, Treasurer Aminul Islam Ahad, correspondent of the Daily Morning Observer, Executive Member Abdullah, Ashuganj correspondent of the Daily Amar Desh, and S TV Brahmanbaria correspondent Saiful Islam.
After the funeral of former State Minister Advocate Harun Al Rashid, the leaders of the Journalists Union of Brahmanbaria paid tribute to him and said, “Harun Al Rashid earned the trust and love of the people of Brahmanbaria through his long-term public service activities. His death has created an irreplaceable void in the political and social arena of the district.”
In the statement, they prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive all the sins of the deceased and grant him Jannatul Firdous, and wished the bereaved family and relatives the strength to bear this grief.
