A special workshop has been held in Brahmanbaria with the participation of scholars and youth to build a drug-free society. This workshop was organized at the Brahmanbaria Islamic Foundation auditorium on Tuesday, June 16 at 10 am. This awareness workshop was held in accordance with the election manifesto of the current government and as a joint initiative of the District Administration and the Narcotics Control Department, Brahmanbaria.
Brahmanbaria District Commissioner Md. Abu Sayeed was present as the chief guest at the event. Brahmanbaria District Council Administrator Sirajul Islam Siraj was present as the guest of honor.
Brahmanbaria Police Superintendent Shah Md. Abdur Rouf, District Education Officer Md. Jahangir Alam, and Brahmanbaria Islamic Foundation Deputy Director Md. Saiful Islam spoke as special guests at this anti-drug workshop.
The event was presided over by Sajedul Hasan, Director of the Narcotics Control Department.
The speakers at the workshop said that it is the demand of the hour for the religious community and the youth to come forward to protect the youth from the clutches of drugs. Along with implementing the government’s election manifesto, the guests emphasized on increasing social awareness to create a healthy and drug-free society. Importance was also laid on the spread of religious and moral education to eradicate drugs.
Local scholars, youth representatives, and people from different walks of life participated in the awareness program.
