Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC has opened a special booth at the Hajj Camp in Ashkona, Dhaka to provide banking services, necessary information and gifts to Hajj pilgrims. On 16 April 2026, the Managing Director (Current Charge) of the bank, Md. Altaf Hussain, inaugurated the booth as the chief guest. The bank’s Dhaka North Zone Head AKM Mahbub Morshed and Executive Vice President Md. Majnuzzaman along with other executive officers of the bank were present. Every year, Islami Bank has been providing banking services, information and gifts suitable for Hajj to pilgrims by setting up a booth at the Hajj camp in Ashkonam. Among the banking services, foreign currencies such as Saudi Riyal and Dollar are being provided to pilgrims in exchange for Bangla taka, Hajj cards are being issued, debit and Khidmah (credit) card endorsements are being provided, and ATM booth services are being provided. Pilgrims can withdraw Riyal from any booth with the Visa logo in Saudi Arabia through the card. The service recipients are provided with umbrellas, handbags, shoe bags and bags to keep stones for throwing stones in Mina by Islami Bank. Leaflets containing various information and Hajj guidelines are being provided to make them aware of the rules and procedures of performing Hajj.
