Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. GKM Mustafizur Rahman has emphasized that true success lies not merely in academic achievement, but in becoming compassionate and principled human beings. “Becoming humane individuals should be the true standard of success,” he said while addressing a farewell reception 2026 andprayer ceremony for SSC candidates of GAU High School held on the campus on 16 April aftermoon.Speaking as the chief guest, the Vice-Chancellor urged students to look beyond exam results and cultivate values such as honesty, integrity and punctuality. He encouraged them to dream big, pursue their goals with courage and remain guided by strong moral and human values in their journey ahead.Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Safiul Islam Afrad, Registrar Md. Abdullah Mridha, Director (Research) Professor Dr. Md. Moshiul Islam and Proctor Professor Dr. Mohammad Saiful Alam attended as special guests. The event was chaired by Head Teacher Mohammad Abbas Uddin. Faculty members, university officials, teachers and students. including 53 outgoing SSC candidates were present at the event. The program began with a warm floral reception for the outgoing students, creating an emotional and celebratory atmosphere. The head teacher extended his congrats and best wishes for their future. A farewell message was delivered by tenth-grade student Sadia Tabassum Tuba, while Maria Sultana, speaking on behalf of the outgoing batch, shared heartfelt reflections, expressing gratitude to teachers and cherishing school memories moving the audience deeply. Other invited guests also deliveredtheir speech for the students’ future. At one stage, the Vice-Chancellor distributed educational materials among the students as a symbolic gesture of encouragement for their next chapter. The event concluded with a special prayer and milad led by the university’s central mosque imam, seeking blessings for the students’ success and the well-being of the nation.
