A procession and prize distribution ceremony for the As You Like It competition were held in Brahmanbaria on the occasion of the celebration of Pahela Baishakh 1433 under the joint initiative of Pravartak Academy and Dheu.
The program was organized on Tuesday (April 14) at 4 pm at the premises of the local Gov. Model Girls High School. District BNP Senior Joint General Secretary Ali Azam was present as the chief guest at the program, which was presided over by Ashiqul Islam Sumon.
Niaz Mohammad Khan Bitu, President of the Journalists Union of Brahmanbaria, journalist Rumel Habib, cultural personality Afzalur Rahman Ripon, Joint General Secretary of the Propagator Academy Ali Akram Khandaker Swapan and Sakhiha Alam were present as special guests.
The program began at 4 pm with a colorful procession from Gov. Model Girls High School. The procession circled various streets of the city and ended at the school premises.
Students from various educational institutions of the city participated in the procession. They were dressed in traditional folk costumes, showcasing Bengali culture and heritage. Later, the guests selected the best costumes from among the participants in the competition and distributed folk prizes among the winners.
The entire program was hosted by Sohel Ahad, President of the Promoter Academy.
