World Health Day was celebrated in Paikgachha, Khulna. On the occasion of the day, the Upazila Health Department and the non-governmental development organization World Vision Bangladesh organized a rally and discussion meeting on Tuesday, April 7. The rally circled the main road in front of the hospital. Later, a discussion meeting was held at the Upazila Health Complex auditorium on the theme “Science in Health Care, Protecting All Lives”. The meeting, chaired by Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ahsanara Binte Ahmed and moderated by statistician Jahangir Alam, was addressed by Junior Consultant Gynecologist Sujan Kumar Sarker, Consultant Dr. Jahirul Islam, Medical Officer Dr. Shakila Afroz, Dr. Nayan Sarker, Dr. Arnab Ghosh, Dr. Tanvir Ahmed and Dr. Ankhi Das, Food Safety Officer Uday Kumar Mondal, Press Club Vice President Md. Abdul Aziz, Senior Staff Nurse Hamida Khatun, Health Inspector Ruhul Quddus, Harol Assistant Shahidul Islam, Chief Assistant Debabrata Sarker, Journalists Shahzaman Badsha, Ashraful Islam Sabuj and Ujjwal Das, World Vision Bangladesh Representative Palash Roy, Dil Rowshan Pompa and Sumaiya Yasmin. 
Speakers at the meeting emphasized increasing health awareness, expanding health education, using advanced technology in the health system, consuming safe and nutritious food, following religious precepts, eliminating superstitions, scientifically based medical equality, and ensuring physical, mental, social, and maternal and child health to ensure health services for all.
