Nearly one lakh patients received medical services through online tickets at the outpatient department of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Patients received this medical service at BMU’s Outpatient Department 1 and Outpatient Department 2. Currently, one and a half to two thousand respected patients are able to avail this facility every day by making an appointment online from the BMU website ( www.bmu.ac.bd ) and paying the ticket price through the digital payment method. This eliminates the need for patients to endure hours of suffering and purchase tickets for the outpatient department. This method is becoming popular day by day.
Meanwhile, BMU’s Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kalam Azad and Director (Hospital) Brigadier General Irteka Rahman have requested the esteemed patients to take a printout of the ticket after making an online appointment and paying the ticket price through the digital payment method. If the esteemed patients bring the printout of the ticket, they can go directly to the designated room at the designated time with that ticket and take the doctor’s advice. This will not only save the time of the esteemed patients, but also they will not have to endure the suffering of standing in line for hours to get a ticket and get a doctor’s advice at the outpatient department.
