A person named Irfan Jahan Noor has been arrested for making a fake notification of His Excellency the President. Attempting to join as director of BMU’s super specialized hospital

A person named Irfan Jahan Noor tried to join as the Director of the Super Specialized Hospital of BMU on the basis of a fake notification of the President . Later, on Monday, March 30 , 2026 , when the matter came to the attention of the authorities of the Super Specialized Hospital, the notification was verified and found to be untrue and he was handed over to the Shahbagh Police Station . The fake notification said that with the kind approval of the President and the Chancellor , Mr. Dr. Irfan Zaman Noor has been appointed as the Director of the Super Specialized Hospital of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU), Dhaka , in accordance with the relevant section of the Bangladesh Medical University Act , 2025. It is to be noted that it has not been confirmed whether the Mr. Dr. Irfan Zaman Noor mentioned in the fake notification is his real name and whether he is a doctor by profession .
