Motorcycles Donated to Boost  Anti-Drug Opera in Bogura

Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) in Bogura has received two motorcycles to strengthen its anti-drug operations and improve field-level monitoring. Md Rezaul Karim Badsha MP, President of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Housing and Public Works, attended the programme as chief guest. Bogura Deputy Commissioner (Dc) Md Toufiqul Rahman also spoke at event. The programme was presided over by Atikur Rahman Badal, President of Bogura Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Other attendees included Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md Mezbaul Karim, Additional Superintendent of Police (Media) Md Atowar Rahman, and Advocate Hamidul Haque Chowdhury Hiru, Vice-President of chamber and President of Bogura Metropolitan BNP.

Speakers stressed that building a drug-free society required coordinated efforts by the business community and people from all walks of life. They said donation was intended to strengthen field-level monitoring and make anti-drug operations more effective. Local business leaders, members of chamber’s board of directors and officials from various levels of administration also expressed their commitment to working together to prevent the spread of drugs and strengthen social movement against drug abuse.
