- S.M. Zilani, Member of Parliament for the Gopalganj-3 constituency, addressed the students, stating that newcomers must set a goal for themselves from the very first day of their college life in the eleventh grade. He warned that failing to set a goal could lead one’s life astray, noting that a person without a goal is akin to a boat without a helmsman.
He made these remarks on Monday (October 12) afternoon while speaking as the chief guest at a freshers’ reception and meritorious student felicitation ceremony held at the Kotalipara Government Adarsha College campus. The event was presided over by the college’s Principal, Dr. Enayet Bari. Other attendees included former principals Gouranga Lal Chowdhury and Kartik Chandra Biswas; Upazila BNP President S.M. Mohiuddin and General Secretary Abul Bashar Howlader; Municipal BNP President Haji Yusuf Ali Daria and General Secretary Waliur Rahman Howlader; and VP Fayekuzzaman Sheikh, among other leaders.
The chief guest further remarked that today’s newcomers represent the future of Bangladesh. Noting the widespread prevalence of drugs across the country, he advised everyone to stay away from drugs and remain vigilant in preventing drug abuse.
