Special Dengue Prevention and Cleanliness Campaign 2026 Conducted
A dengue prevention and cleanliness campaign was conducted at Narsingdi Government College this Saturday morning, organized by the district administration and in collaboration with Narsingdi Municipality. Narsingdi Municipality Chief Executive Officer FM Naeem Hasan Shuvo said, Our district administration, Narsingdi Municipality and District Chhatra Dal President Siddiqur Rahman Nahid and his entire team, along with our entire team, have jointly conducted the cleanliness campaign. A dengue prevention and cleanliness campaign was conducted at Narsingdi Government College this Saturday morning, organized by the district administration and in collaboration with Narsingdi Municipality.
Narsingdi Municipality Chief Executive Officer FM Naeem Hasan Shuvo said,
Our district administration, Narsingdi Municipality and District Chhatra Dal President Siddiqur Rahman Nahid and his entire team, along with our entire team, have jointly conducted the cleanliness campaign. As part of the special initiative to keep the area clean every Saturday, we conducted this cleanliness campaign at Narsingdi Government College today.
As part of the campaign, mosquito repellent and larvicide were sprayed throughout the campus. Later, we went to inspect the college dormitories (halls) with Nahid and everyone present. The environment outside some of the halls was in a very bad condition. There too, immediate initiatives have been taken to clean the streets around the college, remove garbage, spray mosquito repellents, and spray larvicide.
We are aware of the overall cleanliness situation in Narsingdi city; the current situation is not very promising or up to the mark. However, our efforts are ongoing and will continue in the coming days, InshaAllah. Since a city is not destroyed in a day, it is not possible to completely fix it in a day. We will continue to work from our part and this effort will continue.
Municipal Executive Officer Mahfuzur Rahman, Assistant Engineer Md. Shahjahan Mia and other cleaning staff of the municipality were present at the time.
