District level champion Nazim of Kotalipara, now in the divisional chess competition

Najim Molla, a talented student of Kotalipara in Gopalganj, has been crowned with success by defeating one opponent after another on the chess board. Najim Molla, a talented student of Kotalipara in Gopalganj, has been crowned with success by defeating one opponent after another on the chess board. After becoming the champion at the upazila level, he has now become the champion at the district level and has got the opportunity to participate in the divisional level competition.

Nazim Molla is the son of Nazrul Molla of Hijalbari village of Kotalipara upazila. He is a seventh grade student of Machartara Public High School.

Nazim achieved the honor of becoming the champion in the chess game of the Bangladesh National School, Madrasa and Technical Education Sports Association’s Gopalganj District Level Summer Sports Competition 2026. Earlier, he was also the champion in the upazila level competition. After his success at the district level, this little chess player is going to participate in the divisional level competition.

Chess player Nazim Mollah said, “I love playing chess. I am very happy to be the champion at the upazila and district levels. I am grateful to those who encouraged me to practice, especially my parents and school teachers. This time I will try my best to do well at the divisional level. I want to play at the national level in the future and bring fame to Kotalipara and Gopalganj.”

Nazim’s father Nazrul Mollah said, “Najim has been interested in chess since childhood. Along with his studies, he regularly practices chess. We are very happy that he is the champion at the district level. Everyone should pray for my son so that he can do well at the divisional level and bring fame to the country in the future.”

Narayan Chandra Halder, headmaster of Machartara Public High School, said, “Najim is a very talented and attentive student. Along with his studies, he is also interested in sports. By becoming the champion at the upazila and district levels in chess, he has enhanced the reputation of the school. We are proud of his success. The school will continue to provide necessary support to develop his talent.”

Nazim’s classmates hope that Nazim will represent Kotalipara and Gopalganj at the national level in the future, leaving his mark on the departmental level as well.
