After the official inauguration of the nationwide ‘Dengue Prevention and Cleanliness Campaign-2026’, the campaign has also started in Paikgachha, Khulna.
After Prime Minister Tarique Rahman officially inaugurated the program simultaneously across the country through video conference from the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Saturday (September 12) at 9 am, the program was started at the Upazila Parishad auditorium organized by the Paikgachha Upazila administration. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury presided over the program organized on this occasion.

Ekramul Hossain, Upazila Engineer Md. Shafin Shoaib, OC (Operation) Md. Zulfikar Ali, Municipal Executive Officer Lalu Sardar, Upazila Food Officer Md. It is worth noting that a three-month-long ‘Dengue Prevention and Cleanliness Campaign’ will be conducted across the country from September 12 to combat the dengue outbreak.
On the other hand, a 3-month-long cleanliness campaign has been started under the initiative of the Upazila Health Complex to prevent dengue.
On Saturday morning, September 12, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ahsanara Binte Ahmed presided over the distribution of dengue testing kits and Upazila Executive Officer Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury was present as the chief guest in the drive.
At a ceremony held in the hall room of the Health Complex, Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Paikgachha Municipal Administrator Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury formally handed over 320 pitch dengue testing kits to the Upazila Health Officer.
Then, a drive to clean and tidy various areas of the health complex was carried out. Present at the event were Upazila Fisheries Officer Saikat Mallick, Upazila Engineer Shoaib Shafin, Medical Officer Dr. Sujan Kumar Sarkar, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mondal, Dr. Shakila Afroz, Municipality Management Officer Lalu Sardar, along with journalists, doctors, nurses and employees.
