Complainant threatened after returning home with an undertaking in court

The accused have been accused of threatening the plaintiff and his family members again after returning home with an undertaking in the court in Kotalipara, Gopalganj. At the same time, it has been alleged that the plaintiff forcibly took away two trees worth about 30 thousand taka. The incident took place on Wednesday (August 26) in Ramsil village of the upazila.
According to the complaint source, Sujit Halder of Ramsil village had a long-standing family dispute with Rajeshwar Adhikari (50), Mithun Adhikari (25), Bedana Adhikari (40) and Christina Sayanti Biswas (33) of the same area. As a result of this, he alleged that the accused threatened to kill and injure Sujit Halder and his family members on July 27.
In this incident, Sujit Halder filed a case in the learned Executive Court of Gopalganj on July 30.  The court took cognizance of the case and fixed August 23 for the accused to show cause. The plaintiff claims that the accused appeared in court on the appointed date and gave an undertaking to the court that they would not harm the plaintiff and his family members in any way and would not threaten to kill or injure them.
However, it is alleged that even after giving the undertaking in court, the accused violated that condition and went to the plaintiff’s house on Wednesday (August 26) and threatened him again. It is also alleged that they forcibly took away two trees worth about 30,000 taka from Sujit Halder.
Regarding the incident, the plaintiff in the case, Sujit Halder, said, “The accused have come to court with an undertaking and are threatening us again. I and my family members are suffering from insecurity due to their fear. I seek the cooperation of the law enforcement agencies to protect me from their torture and demand that the incident be properly investigated and legal action be taken against the accused.”
The statement of the accused on the charges was not immediately available.
