A 7-member medical delegation from Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) is going to China to participate in a training program to gain experience and knowledge in advanced medical services, including the latest technology, latest advances in medical science, and various technical subjects. The BMU medical delegation is participating in this program as part of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Bangladesh Medical University and Kunming Medical University of China and the ‘2026 Training and Exchange Program for Medical Professionals from Bangladesh’ program taken by China for Bangladesh. The delegation will stay in China from August 30, 2026 to September 12, 2026. During this time, the BMU medical delegation will acquire new knowledge and skills in various related subjects including cardiology (heart disease), clinical oncology (cancer), pediatrics, general surgery, colorectal surgery, cardiac surgery, and urology. The delegation met with the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) Professor Dr. F. M. Siddiqui at his office today, August 24, 2026. At the time, the Vice Chancellor urged the medical delegation to contribute to the development and progress of the health sector, including the medical care of patients in the country, by utilizing the knowledge and skills acquired from Kunming Medical University in China.
