State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam MP has said that the politics of BNP and Prime Minister Mr. Tarique Rahman are not in the interest of any individual or group, but rather for the rights, welfare and prosperity of the common people of this country.

He said, the main strength of BNP’s politics is the people of this country. The welfare of the people, establishment of people’s rights and building a prosperous and self-reliant Bangladesh are the main goals of BNP’s politics. Martyr President Ziaur Rahman has worked for the independence and sovereignty of the country and the welfare of the people. National leader Begum Khaleda Zia has led the struggle to establish democracy and people’s rights. And BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is also working to build a discrimination-free, democratic and prosperous Bangladesh by embracing the hopes and aspirations of the people.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at the introductory meeting of the newly formed Upazila BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal and Swechchhasebak Dal convening committees of Mokamtala Upazila at 1 pm on Saturday (August 22).

He further said, Shaheed Zia’s patriotism, Begum Khaleda Zia’s uncompromising leadership and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s visionary nationalism are the inspiration for our political path. By embracing their ideals, BNP must be made stronger and better organized at the grassroots level. There is no alternative to working unitedly to fulfill the expectations of the people and move the country forward.

Party leaders and activists, including leaders of the newly formed Upazila BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal and Swechchhasebak Dal convening committees, were present at the introductory meeting.
