A colorful procession and rally were held in Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila to mark the 46th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Volunteer Party. On Wednesday (August 20) morning, leaders and activists of the Volunteer Party from different unions and wards of Sadar Upazila gathered in the city with processions in parts. A colorful procession and rally were held in Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila to mark the 46th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Volunteer Party.
On Wednesday (August 20) morning, leaders and activists of the Volunteer Party from different unions and wards of Sadar Upazila gathered in the city with processions in parts. Later, a huge procession was taken out. The procession was led by Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila Volunteer Party convener and former vice-president of the district Chhatra Dal, Mamu Arif.
The procession circled the main roads of the city and ended in front of the district BNP office. A short rally was held there. During this, the leaders and activists were seen carrying party flags, banners-festoons and placards with pictures of BNP founders martyred President Ziaur Rahman and Tarique Rahman.
At the rally, Mamu Arif said, “The Volunteer Party has always worked on the side of the people. Under the guidance of the national leader Begum Khaleda Zia and the symbol of youth Tarique Rahman, the Volunteer Party will continue to play a leading role in the movement to achieve people’s rights in the future as well.”
Leaders and activists from various levels of the Sadar Upazila and Municipal Volunteer Party were present at the time.
