New Executive Committee of Pediatric Nephrology Society formed: President Professor Shirin Afroz, Department of Pediatric Nephrology, Bangladesh Children’s Hospital and Institute, General Secretary Associate Professor Syed Saimul Haque, Department of Pediatric Nephrology, Bangladesh Medical University. Dhaka, Monday 20 July 2026: A new executive committee of the Pediatric Nephrology Society has been formed. Professor Shirin Afroz has been elected as the president and Associate Professor Syed Saimul Haque has been elected as the general secretary (general secretary). A meeting of the executive committee of the society was held on Sunday 19 July 2026 at the Shaheed Abu Said Convention Hall of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU). This full committee of 33 members was formed unanimously in that meeting. The leaders of the newly formed committee have expressed hope to improve the quality of medical care for pediatric kidney patients in the country and further accelerate related research activities.
