Gias Uddin Ahmed, principal and lawyer of Khaliajuri College in Netrokona, has claimed in a written protest that the news item titled "Allegations of land grabbing attempt against BNP leader" published in a national daily on July 1, 2026, is completely false, fabricated and baseless. He alleged that the information published in that news item has tarnished his social standing and has also caused him financial losses. Gias Uddin Ahmed, principal and lawyer of Khaliajuri College in Netrokona, has claimed in a written protest that the news item titled “Allegations of land grabbing attempt against BNP leader” published in a national daily on July 1, 2026, is completely false, fabricated and baseless. He alleged that the information published in that news item has tarnished his social standing and has also caused him financial losses.
In his written statement, Gias Uddin Ahmed said that he is the legal owner of about 8.5 acres (850%) of land located in Balli, Rajapur, Harakandi and Hatila mouzas. He claimed that he has legal ownership over that land based on ancestral sources, inheritance documents and long-standing possession.
He also said that false, fabricated and baseless allegations have been made against the member of parliament for Netrokona-4 constituency regarding the matter, which are in no way consistent with reality.
Gias Uddin Ahmed strongly protested and condemned the published news and urged the relevant parties to verify the facts and publish accurate information.
