The hour-long human chain was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office premises on Tuesday (July 7) afternoon under the initiative of the “TCB Dealer Bachao Andolan” of Gaibandha district.
TCB dealer Azizur Rahman Shuja, MA Rashid Khushi, Akhtaruzzaman, Shah Alam Selim and other dealer leaders spoke at the human chain.
The speakers said that the TCB authorities have instructed not to renew the dealerships of dealers whose dealerships expired in June 2026. They are deeply concerned and disappointed by the government’s decision.
At this time, the speakers made 5-point demands, including reconsideration of the TCB Dealer Appointment and Management Policy (Revised-2025), implementation of the directive on the renewal of expired dealers, and cancellation of the relevant decision.
At the end of the human chain, they submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister through the District Administrator, calling for the implementation of these demands.
