Colorful rally held in Rajshahi on the occasion of National Rural Development Day-2026

Keeping in mind the theme 'Developed Rural Prosperous Country, Bangladesh First', a colorful rally was held on the occasion of National Rural Development Day-2026 at the initiative of the Divisional Administration, District Administration and BRDB Divisional and District Offices, Rajshahi. On Monday (6 July) at 10 am, the guests inaugurated the rally by releasing balloons and festoons at the Divisional Commissioner's office premises. Honorable Land Minister Md. Rajshahi Range DIG Mohammad Shahjahan and Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mohammad Faizul Kabir were also present as special guests at the rally.

The rally circled the important roads of the city and ended at the Divisional Commissioner’s office. A discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Divisional Commissioner’s office to mark the day. BRDB Joint Director Bakul Chandra Roy delivered the welcome speech.

Officers and employees of various government departments, BRDB officers and employees, representatives of various social and voluntary organizations and dignitaries participated in the program.

The speakers at the program highlighted the importance of cooperative-based activities in rural development, employment generation, poverty alleviation and sustainable development. They called for the collective cooperation of everyone in implementing various development initiatives of the government to improve the quality of life of the rural people.
