BRAC organizes poultry farming training for teenagers in Kalai
A one-day training workshop on poultry farming for Swapna Sarathi girls was held on Monday, June 15, at the Upazila Livestock Auditorium under the initiative of the Empowerment and Legal Protection Program in Kalai Upazila of Joypurhat. The training was presided over by BRAC Kalai Branch Officer Khatija Khatun. The training was conducted by Kalai Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Moniruzzaman. Black Kalai Branch Manager Md. In addition, important discussions were held on the issues of involvement in work-oriented activities, self-reliance and creation of employment opportunities. The speakers present said that in rural economic development, chicken farming plays an important role in meeting the nutritional needs of adolescents and as an income-generating activity alongside education. Such initiatives by BRAC will not only help the adolescents meet their education expenses but also create opportunities for self-employment. Awareness among adolescents will increase, the mindset of becoming an entrepreneur will increase, and leadership will be developed. At the end of the training, everyone will be given a certificate.
