Rangpur City Corporation Administrator Adv. Mahfuz Un Nabi Don said, 250 million trees will be planted across Bangladesh in the next 5 years. Today, Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman officially inaugurated this tree planting program in Cox's Bazar. He made these remarks at the inauguration of the Tree Plantation Program-2026, directed by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, at Battala Bazar under Hazirhat Police Station in the city, organized by the Rangpur City Corporation at 12 noon on Saturday (June 13).
At this time, the administrator said to the city residents, “It is your responsibility to take good care of the trees so that they can grow well and everyone can benefit from them.” He also requested the public not to leave any empty spaces around their homes and plant trees, so that they can become self-reliant and make the country self-reliant.
