A third gender transgender named Yasmin alias Suman (26) was murdered in Raipura, Narsingdi.
Another third gender transgender named Chandni alias Babu (26) was seriously injured in the incident. The incident took place on Sunday (May 24) at around 11:30 pm in the Railgate area of ​​Pirizkandi village in Mirzapur union of the upazila.
The deceased Yasmin alias Suman is the son of Rabiullah of Pirizkandi village in Raipura upazila, and the injured Chandni alias Babu is the son of Mishtu Mia of the same area.
According to local residents and police sources, on the night of the incident, Russell, an employee of a chicken farm owned by a businessman named Zakir Hossain, invited third gender Yasmin and Chandni to the farm for dishonest purposes. Russell and some others engaged in anti-social activities with them.  Later, they had a fight over financial transactions.
The locals believe that this murder may have happened in this incident. The matter has created a lot of excitement in the area. After receiving information from the locals, Raipura Police Station went to the spot, recovered the body of the deceased and sent it to the Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The injured Chandni was first sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital for treatment and later to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Since the incident, the farm employee Russell has been absconding. The police are conducting a drive to arrest the killers. The higher authorities of the police have visited the scene.
Raipura Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Mojibur Rahman said that the murder incident is mysterious. The police are investigating and details will be announced after the investigation.
