A person named Harun in Narsingdi was arrested after trying to obtain bail under the pseudonym Selim at the Narsingdi Human Trafficking Court.
Harun was granted bail after the real accused Selim surrendered after 1 month and 6 days. On Monday, May 18, 26, the court granted bail to Harun after the real accused in the human trafficking case Selim surrendered.
When the court came to know about Harun’s fraud, the court ordered the concerned bench assistant Golam Masum to file a case as the plaintiff. In view of that, bench assistant Masum filed a fraud case at Raipura Police Station against Harun and some unknown persons at Raipura Police Station.
As a result, the Raipura Police Station arrested the person named Harun, who was giving the pseudonym Selim, from the jail gate on Tuesday morning, May 18.
The incident report reveals that on April 12, 2019, in Human Trafficking Case No. 10/24, a person named Harun, father Shamsu Mia Sang Mahmud Nagar Police Station, Raipura, District Narsingdi, fraudulently pretended to be Selim, father Jasim Uddin Sang Mahmud Nagar Police Station, Raipura, District Narsingdi, and went to get bail along with Jamir and Fatema, the other co-accused in the human trafficking case, through a lawyer. The court rejected the bail application of Selim, who had given the pseudonym, considering the seriousness of the crime in the human trafficking case, and sent the person named Harun, who had given the pseudonym Selim, and the other 2 accused to jail.
Because on the day of the bail hearing on April 12, the court did not know that the real name of the surrendered accused with the identity of Selim was not Harun,
When the court suspected this matter, the learned PP Advocate Shirin Akhter Shelly, later on, in the light of the investigation report of the Jail Superintendent and the investigation report, the court confirmed the fraud of Harun under the pseudonym and ordered the concerned Bench Assistant Golam Masum to file a regular case.
As a result, the fraudster Harun, who gave the pseudonym Selim, served 1 month and 6 days in jail in the human trafficking case, and the fraudster Harun is in jail again in the fraud case.
