A significant seminar was held in Lakshmipur aimed at identifying existing challenges and
exploring effective remedies at every stage of the justice process—from case filing and
investigation to trial proceedings and final disposal.
The seminar took place on Saturday (April 18) at the conference room of the District and
Sessions Judge Court in Lakshmipur.
Organized by the Lakshmipur District Judgeship, the seminar titled “Seminar-2026 on
Identifying Problems and Developing Remedies in Case Filing, Investigation, Trial Proceedings
and Case Disposal” was presided over by Senior District and Sessions Judge Mohammad
Shahin Uddin.
The keynote paper was presented by Additional District and Sessions Judge A.K.M. Moin Uddin
Siddiqui, while Civil Judge Abrar Salam moderated the session.
Among the discussants were Chief Judicial Magistrate Samaresh Shil, Joint District and Sessions
Judge Mohammad Saiful Alam Chowdhury, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohammad
Rezaul Haque, Senior Civil Judge Belal Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police
Mohammad Rezaul Haque, Jailer of Lakshmipur District Jail Nur Mohammad Sohel, and
President of the District Bar Association Advocate Monirul Islam Howlader.
Also present were Senior Judicial Magistrate Shah Jamal, Judicial Magistrates Md. Arif Hossain
and Taslima Islam, Civil Judge Ummehany Sadia, Resident Medical Officer of Sadar Hospital
Dr. Arup Pal, along with officials from the judiciary, law enforcement agencies, and various
government departments.
