Jamuna Television celebrates one year anniversary in Netrakona
Netrokona The country's popular private television channel 'Jamuna Television' has completed 12 years and entered an era. The anniversary celebration and gathering titled 'An Era of Love' was held at the Netrokona District Press Club auditorium on Tuesday (April 7) morning. The event, chaired by Jamuna Television's district representative Kamal Hossain and moderated by journalist Pallab Chakraborty, was attended by Netrokona District Council Administrator and District Press Club Vice-President Advocate Nuruzzaman Nuru as the chief guest. Netrokona The country’s popular private television channel ‘Jamuna Television’ has completed 12 years and entered an era. The anniversary celebration and gathering titled ‘An Era of Love’ was held at the Netrokona District Press Club auditorium on Tuesday (April 7) morning. The event, chaired by Jamuna Television’s district representative Kamal Hossain and moderated by journalist Pallab Chakraborty, was attended by Netrokona District Council Administrator and District Press Club Vice-President Advocate Nuruzzaman Nuru as the chief guest.
Netrokona Municipal Administrator and Deputy Director of Local Government Department (DDLG) Ariful Islam Sardar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rakifuzzaman, Additional Superintendent of Police Hafizul Islam and General Secretary of District Press Club M Kibria Chowdhury Helim spoke as special guests. The invited guests said that Jamuna Television has earned a place in the hearts of the common people of the country in the last 12 years by highlighting objective news and the rights of the people. They expressed hope that this trend of working courageously for the welfare of the country and the people will continue in the future.
Former general secretary and senior journalist of the district press club Shyamlendu Pal, vice-president Zahid Hasan, advocate KR Khan Pathan Saher, district BNP leader Abdullah Al Mamun Khan Roni, Bazlur Rahman Pathan, Sadar Upazila BNP general secretary Taj Uddin Farah Sentu, lecturer Zahirul Islam and journalist Sanjay Sarkar also spoke and were present at the event. Among others, journalists Hanif Ullah Akash, Saiful Arif Jewel, Rahman Jibon, Khalilur Rahman Sheikh Iqbal, Professor Nani Gopal Sarkar, poet Sajeeb Line, Tanvir Jahan Chowdhury, officials from various levels of administration, journalists from print and electronic media and well-wishers were present. Syed Somoy, district president of Bangladesh Mofusal Journalists Society and Journalist Voice of Bangladesh, journalists Hafiz Ullah Chowdhury Alim, AB Chowdhury Nadim and Yasinur Rahman also expressed solidarity at the event. At the end of the discussion meeting, the joy of Jamuna TV’s one-year anniversary was celebrated by cutting a cake.
