Like the rest of the country, vehicle drivers in Naogaon district are also suffering due to the fuel crisis. The situation has become more complicated as fuel is available at filling stations day after day.
On one hand, the transportation system is on the verge of collapse, on the other hand, drivers are running from one filling station to another in the hope of fuel. On Sunday (April 5), despite waiting in long lines, fuel is not available as per demand. The common man is also suffering due to this.
The owners of the filling stations in the district said that the depot is not supplying oil as per the demand at 56 filling stations in the district. Each station has an average demand of about 10,000 liters of fuel oil per day. But the depot is not supplying oil as per the demand. About 60 percent of the oil is available one day at a time, while the remaining 40 percent is in short supply. As a result, it is not possible to supply oil as per the demand of the vehicle owners.
Due to this, chaos is also occurring at some pumps. However, the government has appointed tag officers to control the situation. In addition, police personnel have also been deployed to maintain law and order.
