The NFIS Administrative Unit (NAU) of Bangladesh Bank, in collaboration with ConsumerCentriX (CCX), a Switzerland-based strategy consulting firm, inaugurated the web pages related to the capital market and insurance sector under the Women’s Financial Inclusion Data (WFID) Dashboard on 31st March 2026 at Hotel InterContinental in Dhaka. Since March 2024, gender-disaggregated data from banks, finance companies, microfinance institutions and mobile financial services (MFS) providers have been updated on the Dashboard on a quarterly basis. The event was graced by Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank as the Chief Guest. Representatives from relevant ministries, financial sector regulatory bodies, banks, financial institutions, MFS providers, insurance companies, capital market intermediaries and development partners also attended the event. Participants expressed optimism that the Dashboard will support policy formulation and decision-making on women’s financial inclusion in Bangladesh by highlighting the latest status of women’s participation in financial activities.
