Meanwhile, today, Tuesday, March 24, 2026, the university offices, departments, and hospitals have fully reopened as per the existing rules. Meanwhile, the Eid congregation of the holy Eid ul Fitr 2026 was held on Saturday, March 21 at 8 am at the premises of the Central Jame Mosque of Bangladesh Medical University. This information was given by the Presiding Imam of the Central Jame Mosque of Bangladesh Medical University, Mr. Hafez Maulana Abdul Ahad. Devout Muslims participated in the holy Eid congregation to offer prayers. Arrangements are made to serve high-quality food to all patients on Eid. During the holy Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 holidays, 685 patients were provided medical services at the outpatient department of Bangladesh Medical University on Thursday, March 19. On Sunday, March 22, 219 patients were provided medical services, and a total of 904 patients were provided medical services on those two days. On those two days, this service was provided from 10 am to 1 pm in Outpatient Department 1 and Outpatient Department 2. At the same time, necessary testing services were also provided to the patients. Testing services were provided to the patients by various departments under the Faculty of Basic Science and Paraclinical Science. X-ray and CT scan facilities were available on the days of closure by the Department of Radiology and Imaging. The hospital’s indoor and emergency departments were also open as usual on the days of closure. BMU Hospital Director Brigadier General Irteka Rahman said that about 500 people, including doctors, nurses, officers and employees, participated in this great program of providing medical services including consultation to patients in the outpatient department and later completing the tests of the patients on Thursday, March 19 and Sunday, March 22. In addition, about 500 people, including doctors and nurses, have been responsible for continuing the service activities of the hospital’s indoor and emergency departments.
