During the holy Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 holidays, 685 patients were provided medical services at the outpatient department of Bangladesh Medical University on Thursday, March 19. BMU Hospital Director Brigadier General Irteka Rahman said that about 500 people, including doctors, nurses, officers, and employees, are participating in this great program of providing medical services including consultation to patients in the outpatient department and later completing the tests of the patients on Thursday, March 19 and Sunday, March 22. In addition, about 500 personnel, including doctors and nurses, are on duty to continue the hospital’s indoor and emergency department services. The outpatient department will also be open on Sunday, March 22, 2026. Today, Thursday, March 19, the outpatient medical services and testing services were inspected by Bangladesh Medical University Hospital Director Brigadier General Irteka Rahman, Deputy Director (Hospital) Dr. Mohammad Abu Naser, Assistant Director (Hospital) Md. Mahbubul Haque Sarkar, and others. Meanwhile, the Eid congregation of the holy Eid ul Fitr 2026 will be held at the Central Jama Masjid premises of Bangladesh Medical University at 8 am on Eid day. Arrangements have been made to serve high-quality food to patients on the happy day of Eid, the biggest religious festival of sharing joy. The Eid Reunion after the holy Eid-ul-Fitr will be held on Tuesday, March 24, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, and the university offices will be open as usual on that day (March 24, 2026).
