Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) has started one of the most competitive and prestigious events in the country, ‘Multiverse Olympiad 1.0’. The Olympiad was inaugurated on Monday (December 8) at the university campus by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman. The university’s Pro-Vice Chancellor, Treasurer, Registrar, teachers, students and officials from various departments were present at the time.
The organizers said that the university has organized this national-level Olympiad with the aim of developing talent, creativity and skills in three fields – business education, humanities and science. Students who passed HSC 2024 and 2025 will be able to participate in this Olympiad; at the same time, students eligible to participate in the HSC examination in 2026 and 2027 will also be able to participate in the competition. Online registration to participate in the competition has started from December 3 and will continue until January 7, 2026. After that, the online screening round will start from January 15, 2026. The university authorities have requested students from all colleges and equivalent educational institutions of the country to register quickly to participate in the Olympiad.
There are attractive prizes for the winners of the competition. The champion’s grand prize is 1 lakh taka, and a total of more than 1 lakh 50 thousand taka in prizes and honors will be given to the top finalists.
The organizers further said that this Olympiad will create a unique opportunity for the country’s talented students to prepare for competition, develop analytical skills and establish themselves in the national arena. The university authorities have sent invitations to various colleges. The invitation letter stated that this event will inspire the young generation to develop thinking skills, present innovative ideas and build future leadership. Along with testing their skills, participants will also gain important experience in preparation for higher education.
In his speech after the inauguration of the Olympiad, the Vice Chancellor said, ‘Through Multiverse Olympiad 1.0, we are providing students with a talent development platform where they can develop their thinking power, innovative skills and international competitiveness.
